San Diego Staycation: Town & Country Resort
If you’ve been following us for awhile you know that one of our favorite things to do is to staycation. Whenever we find ourselves feeling like we need a break from the normal routine, there’s nothing better than sneaking away for a night or two to a local resort. Even if it’s just for one night and at a hotel thats 10 minutes away, the feeling you get from doing something different and relaxing in a new environment can be just what you need to refresh, recharge, and reconnect with your family.
And after this last visit, we can officially say that we found our new favorite hotel in San Diego. This is the place that we will be recommending to all our friends and family when they visit San Diego. Here’s the top 7 reasons why we love Town & Country Resort.
Close Proximity to everything in San Diego - Located just off the 8 freeway in Mission Valley, you can get to every major attraction in San Diego (including the beach) in 5-10 minutes.
Recently Renovated - The hotel just went through a multi-million dollar renovation to give it a very hip and most unique look. It feels very palm springs/retro inspired with a touch of modern. We absolutely love the look.
Brand New Pool - Along with the renovation came a brand new pool with a zero-entry shallow end making it perfect for the little ones. The pool is also absolutely HUGE!
Waterslide - Pretty much speaks for itself here. But there aren’t many hotels in San Diego with a waterslide on property. This brand new slide is super fun and big enough to where the kids want to ride it over and over all day.
Great Food Options - They have a high-end and delicious restaurant called Arlo on site that had some amazing dishes. But they also have a Market/Cafe that serves up great breakfast lunch and dinner options all day plus a bunch of healthy snack options.
Big Rooms - The rooms are super spacious and our family of 6 slept in the room with 2 queen beds with no problem.
Great Value - Despite the property having been recently renovated, the prices and deals at the property are great and very competitive with the rest of the market.
